In 3 months, we made significant progress in her gross motor skills. We did gross motor exercises to strengthen her muscles, for example kicking ball, picking up objects from the floor, obstacle course. Through these exercises, she was able to improve her motor skills as well as to have fun in a non-structured setting.
She also developed higher awareness to the environment, and better control over her arms and legs movements.
Carmen started using Picture Exchange Communication System in Feb. It makes it easier for her caregivers to understand her needs. Parents also joined some training sessions at Bridge to make sure Carmen can transfer skills learned to other settings.
When we first joined Bridge, we would like for Clemence to get more support in her development and communication skills. For the past three months, we think that Clemence is starting to express herself more and becoming more reactive to her surrounding environment.
Clemence enjoys spending time with her therapists at Bridge. She loves to sing and dance with them and greets them happily when she walks in the centre. The team of therapists at Bridge has been very supportive and loving for Clemence, and we believe that it is one of the most important reasons why we would love to continue trainings at Bridge Academy.
We look forward to more improvements Clemence will make with Bridge Academy.”
